In my previous article, I have shown you how to remove the keyboard of Acer Aspire 5100 laptop. Now, let us move to the LCD screen and inverter board.

First: Turn off the laptop, unplug AC adapter and remove the battery.

Second: The screen bezel has four screws hidden under for seals. Get out the four screw seals and remove the four screws.

Third: Remove the screen bezel carefully.

Forth: The inverter board is mounted below the LCD screen.Separate the top cover from the LCD screen first.

Fifth: Remove four screws. Two of them securing display hinges and other two securing the inverter board.

Sixth: Carefully separate the display cover from the screen and access the LCD cable connector.

Seventh: Unglue the yellow-circled tape，and disconnect the LCD cable from the connector on the screen.

Eighth: Now you can access the inverter board. Be carefully, it is still connected to the laptop by cables on both sides. Disconnect them before removing it.

Ninth: The inverter board is done, and the LCD screen can be easily removed. Get out four screws securing the LCD screen to the display hinge. Remove four more screws from the other side of the screen.

OK, the LCD screen is out.
