In the UK there are various models. The one in PC World has Bluray ROM drive and 640GB HDD (strangely they had another model with slightly faster clock i5 500GB disc and only integrated graphics (not ATI), but £50 more).
It has no Bluetooth as far as I can tell however even though it has a hardware bluetooth button. Only got it today and seems alright so far apart from the touchpad which sometimes does not respond. Lifting finger and trying again works but I hope I can find a better way.
Bought instead of a Dell Studio 1558 which had similar spec but had no n wifi and felt cheap (very flexy lid), but had a good keyboard (the Acer one seems OK however). Stuart(Quote) (Reply)
Aspire 5740G is an excellent laptop. The new models have bluetooth and I’ve found Aspire outperforming the Dell studio in all aspects. Not to mention Dell is expensive(for no reason). This laptop’s gemstone back is very attractive and unique. Dolby 5.1 output is a bonus. Overall it is great for gaming. Will run almost all games as of today without a problem.
