Sony has just released flagship commercial products, the highst configuration is Sony VAIO Z117.Sony also published VAIO E series, though it belongs to large size notebook, it has a large color choices. Today we review on Sony VAIO E crystal firefly green style.

As for the slightly lower configuration Sony VAIO EB15, there are five kinds of styles you can choose. However, Sony VAIO EB15 screen resolution is  1366 x 768 (non-LED backlit screen), ATI Radeon HD5470 graphics card, 320 GB hard drive,  no built-in Blu-ray optical drive, performance is slightly worse than the EB17.

There are two kinds of Sony VAIO E models, respectively EB17 and  EB15. These two models use the Intel Core i3-330M Processor (2.13 GHz), and 4 GB DDR3 memory. The high-end EB17 with 1920 x 1080 for full HD LED-backlit screen, ATI Radeon HD5650 video card, 500 GB hard drive, also built-in Blu-ray optical drive, is a very good big-screen notebooks. It is a pity that EB17 only black and white two color option.

All of Sony VAIO E has adpoted a transparent design. Sony VAIO E uses the gradient. The peripheral of cover is dark green , the middle is more light whichi reflects the Sony’s unique conception.

Sony VAIO  EB15 has not Blu-ray and Full HD resolution screen, ATI Radeon HD5470 remarkable piece slightly lower than the EB17. However, both new processors are Intel Core i3-330M, also built-in 4GB DDR3 memory, so not too different from the overall performance.

Intel Core i3-330M is a dual-core processor, frequency is 2.13 GHz, Intel Core frequency acceleration is not supported but support Hyper-Threading technology that can simulate up to four core operating simultaneously.

Sony VAIO  EB15 built-in ATI Radeon HD5470 graphics, 3DMark05, 3DMark06 scores were measured for 6683 and 4447, it appears performance is ordinary, it can play 3D games, but can not open all effects.

We use Street Fighter4 Benchmark testing ATI Radeon HD5470 graphics performance. In the 1366 x 768 high screen resolution, turn off the vertical sync and antialiasing, the other entirely Street Fighter4 Benchmark tests and the initial settings. The testing process fairly smoothly, but the results the average FPS is only 37 or so, total score 8028 points, grade D, test scores poorly, if you want to play games, Sony  EB17 would be more appropriate.

Under the 1366 x 768 resolution, with an average FPS 37.Turn resolution to 1280 x 720 and then to the test, about 41 or so, FPS score of 8415, grade upgrades to the C.

Sony  VAIO EB 15 built-in Toshiba’s 320 GB hard drive, detailed model is MK3265GSX, measured through the HD Tune Pro, with an average reading of 66.8 MB / s or so, random access time is about 17.2 ms or so.
