Samsung P580 laptop review April 15, 2010

Samsung P580 laptop has been designed to be the perfect ‘trusted business partners’ for individuals who need the reassurance and performance of a powerful desktop PC, packaged in a highly durable, tactile, sleek and lightweight chassis that makes remote or mobile working easy and pleasurable,” says the company’s release.

With the size of 371 x 255.5x 29.9~35.3mm, Samsung P580 laptop weights 2.5Kg. And Samsung P580 laptop features Intel’s Core i5-520M processor with an Nvidia GT 330M graphics chipset, 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 500GB hard disk with shock protection. 802.11n wireless networking, Bluetooth 2.1 and Gigabit Ethernet were present too; the copy of Windows 7 Professional sealing the P580’s business credentials.

The 15.6in, 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution screen of Samsung P580 laptop was bright and clear – and importantly blessed with a matte, anti-glare finish – and ergonomics seemed good. Samsung P580’s keyboard boasts the isolated design that is currently very popular with manufacturers, and there’s also a dedicated keypad included for those who regularly input data. The keyboard squeezes a numeric keypad alongside, and despite a somewhat springy base, the keyboard was perfectly comfortable in use. The two short-travel buttons beneath the trackpad respond with a lovely, crisp click, too.
