From X200T to X201T, CPU is changed from Core 2 series to Core i series, the structure received a comprehensive update. Although the CPU is still for the dual-core architecture, but through the use of Hyper-Threading Technology, the largest implementation can be up to four threads simultaneously, compared with the previous model, this is a leap. In addition, through the use of Intel Turbo Boost Technology, CPU operating frequency is up to 2.93GHz, CPU performance has improved significantly.

Lenovo ThinkPad X201T comes with DDR3 SO-DIMM memory. There are two memory slots on the bottom Lenovo ThinkPad X201T. Present, a single piece of DDR3 SO-DIMM memory contains the maximum capacity of 4GB, so X201T is carrying maximum 8GB of memory. However, if Lenovo ThinkPad X201T is equipped with the pre-installed 32-bit version of Windows 7, then, it may not effectively use 8GB of memory.
