Recently HP unveiled a student-oriented Mini 100e netbook, with a 10.1” LED back-lit WSVGA display (1024 X 600) and a 92% full-size spill-resistant QWERTY keyboard. Besides a normal version, HP also innovatively released a World Cup edition, catering for ongoing 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

Catering to school environment, HP Mini 100e is embedded in a full set of student-oriented software of office, study and safety protection, such as Office 2010, Microsoft Math, Microsoft Security Essentials. Besides, weighing 3.2 pound, HP 100e netbook is portable, along with a handler for carrying.

Mini 100e netbook is powered by Intel Atom N455 (1.66GHz) processor with low-power consumption, NM10 Express chipset, supporting USB 2.0 X 2、VGA interface, SD/MMC Reader, optional Windows XP Home, Windows 7 starter, SUSE Linux.

It contains 1 GB of DDR3 memory, 3-cell or 6-cell battery, 160GB 5400RPM or 7200RPM, Intel GMA HD integrated graphics card, with built-in camera, 92% full-size QWERTY keyboard.

HP Mini 100e netbook World-cup Edition is going public in July and is priced at around $ 300.
