Configuration of Sony VAIO EA25

Sony VAIO EA25 is equipped with a Intel Pentium Dual Core P6000 processor, Intel HM55 chipset, 2GB DDR3 1066MHz memory, 320GB 5400 rpm hard drive, DVD driver and ATI Mobility Radeon HD5145 independent graphics, together with Windows 7 64 Home Basic operating system and 4GB recognizable memory.

Pentium Dual-Core P6000 is an Arrandale processor. Compared with Core i3, it hasn’t added SSE4.2 and virtual instruction set; secondly, it hasn’t reached 2GHz as high as i Core processor; thirdly, it has the same maximum thermal power consumption of only 35W as Core i3t; last, it does not support dual graphics card switching.

In CINEBENCH R10 64Bit processor test, Pentium Dual-Core P6000 got 2576 points, which can deal with daily office issue.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD5145 is an entry-level independent graphics, and does not support popular DX11. With core of M92 it adopts 55nm process technology, which has a 512MB GDDR3 memory, bandwidth for 64Bit, 720MHz core frequency and 80 stream processing units.

In 3DMark Vantage graphics test, it got E5145 points. With ATI Mobility Radeon HD5145, Sony VAIO EA25 can play HD video smoothly but so well to play 3D games.

In PCMark Vantage test, Sony EA25 got 4410 points, which could meet basic needs of family entertainment.

Sony EA25 heat and battery life test

After running PCMark Vantage for an hour, we use one sensor of EVEREST to detect internal core temperature (room temperature 24 ℃) when system is fully loaded. Results show that CPU is 45 ℃ (Core 1 46 ℃/ Core 2 38 ℃), mainboard is 44 4 ℃ and GPU is less than 45 ℃.

Then we use FLUKE PMTV to test temperature of keyboard area (C side) and bottom area (D side) respectively and take pictures. Temperature of Sony EA25 touchpad and area closing to heat dissipation window is higher than C and D sides of Sony EA25 with 37.7 ℃ which has no obvious sense of heat.

Sony EA25 is equipped with VGP-BPS22 11.1V 3500mAh Lithium ion battery. And battery life is about 3hours and 5minutes.
