The HP EliteBook 8560w is a new 15.6″ mobile workstation from HP which marries portability and power into a package that has the durability to go anywhere.

The 15 inch HP EliteBook 8560w has more in common with its larger sibling, the EliteBook 8760w, than the EliteBook 8460w. is the newly announced Mobile Workstation model from today.

HP EliteBook 8560w—Design
The EliteBook 8560w is a part of the new HP “FORGE” design concept which focuses on delivering a, “workstation specific industrial design language.”

HP EliteBook 8560w—Keyboard and Touchpad
Like its two siblings released today, the EliteBook 8560w sports a new full-chiclet style keyboard, orange colored pointing stick, larger multi-touch trackpad and replaces the old (and sometimes imprecise) touch-sensitive control strip above the keyboard with hardware keys to HP Quick Web, wireless on/off and mute functions.

HP EliteBook 8560w—Display
The HP EliteBook 8560w has a 15.6″ anti-glare display with a base 1600 x 900 resolution. Users can also opt for an upgrade to a 1920 x 1080 resolution on the standard anti-glare display.

HP EliteBook 8560w—Battery Life
HP unofficially puts battery life of the EliteBook 8560w at 5 hours with its 8 cell battery, which you can extend with the optional secondary 8 or 12 cell battery. Speaking of batteries, the EliteBook 8560w shares the same 8 cell primary battery as the larger EliteBook 8760w.
HP EliteBook 8560w—Processor
The EliteBook 8560w has dual and quad core processor options including Sandy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors. These new processors can speed up to meet demands thanks to TurboBoost 2.0. The processors are of the mobile variety, which means that while they deliver a lot of power, you can still get decent battery life.

The EliteBook 8560w supports up to 32GB RAM in four slots to provide supporting power to the system.
